Founded in about 1148, this Augustinian abbey became a private residence after the Reformation, and was severely damaged during the Civil War during a Parliamentarian siege. Madeley Town Council offers community activities and events for children and young people throughout the year, free of charge. 200 acres of parkland can be explored at the National Trust’s Attingham Park. There are four main walking routes, varying in length from 1 to 4 miles. The parkland at Attingham includes a Walled Garden and Orchard, Deer Park, Pleasure Grounds and woodlands. Ismore Coppice Wild Campground is on the edge of the National Trust's Attingham Park estate near Shrewsbury. This simple, informal site, on the banks of the river Severn is popular with canoeists as it offers access directly onto the river.
For families with little ones starting to learn to ride, Attingham Park has acres of parkland to explore. They welcome children under 5 on trikes, starter bikes with stabilisers, balance bikes (no pedals), and under 11s on push/kick scooters (sorry no standard bikes).

Benthall Hall is located just 2 miles from Telford and is accessible by many walking trails from the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. Situated on a plateau above the gorge of the River Severn, this fine stone house has mullioned and transomed windows, a stunning interior with carved oak staircase and decorated plaster ceilings and oak panelling.

Randlay Colts is one of the largest Junior Football Clubs in Telford, providing football for children aged 4 - 16. The club was established in 1986 and all coaches are fully CRC / DBS checked and hold a Level 1 FA coaching qualifications as a minimum.

Shropshire Inclusive Dance (SiD) is a charity committed to inclusive dance practice. SACRE stands for Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education and every local authority must have one. The law requires every school to teach religious education (RE), and have collective worship of a largely Christian nature. The local SACRE ensures that what is taught best reflects the local community. SACRE advises its schools on what is taught in RE through its locally ‘agreed syllabus’ (AS) and how to improve the teaching of RE and collective worship.

The Iron Bridge
The world's first iron bridge was erected over the River Severn here in Shropshire in 1779. This pioneering structure marked a turning point in English design and engineering; after it was built, cast iron came to be widely used in the construction of bridges, aqueducts and buildings.
The Iron Bridge's story began in the early 18th century, in the nearby village of Coalbrookdale. Abraham Darby pioneered the smelting of iron using coke, a process that was a catalyst for the Industrial Revolution. It was Abraham Darby III who cast the ironwork for the bridge that still stands today, using the same techniques developed by his grandfather. The bridge was so successful that it gave its name to the spectacular wooded valley which surrounds it, now recognised as the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site.

Top Hat Stage School
Top Hat is a part-time stage school where children can learn dance, drama and singing. Each term sees a full scale production staged. Sessions take place on a Saturday morning, and are available for children aged 4 - 17. A free trial session is available.

Views and Opinions Inspire Change for Everyone (VOICE)
VOICE was the name chosen by Telford & Wrekin Council's Care Council members which has been meeting regularly since November 2008. The word 'VOICE' is short form of the group's full name which is 'Views and Opinions Inspire Change for Everyone'.
VOICE is a fortnightly forum where young people who are in care discuss important issues with senior managers at the council with the aim of helping to shape and improve services.
